Getting into a circadian rhythm sounds like a dance with the sun and the moon that requires years of practice. Don’t worry- it’s not as hard as you think, in fact – all it requires you to do is relax. Here are a few tips to help you get into your best sleep groove.

Get Relaxed!

Sometimes all you need is a bath. Fill up the tub, pour some salts, bubbles and enjoy a 20-30-minute soak. Taking a bath is refreshing, soothing and gives you the alone time you need to achieve that mental balance.

Light Matters

Choose a lightbulb to help set the mood for the evening hours. Typically, when you think of sleeping – darkness comes to mind. Due to technology being so accessible it causes distractions and less time for sleep. Setting the environment to help you achieve relaxation are small changes but have big impacts. Read a Book or a Magazine

Try to stay away from your phone and the TV as they’ll stimulate blue light which can temp you to stay up longer.

If your mind is still racing, try to listen to an adult bedtime story or relaxing sounds. There are hundreds of free audio stories and sounds online.
